About the Role

The Finance Branch is responsible for the financial management and governance, ensuring effective business management and legislative compliance.

You will provide high quality accounts payable services to both internal and external customers, working on a partnership basis to ensure the business can achieve its goals.

About you

To be successful in this role you would have experience in providing high quality accounts payable services to both internal and external customers, working on a partnership basis to ensure the business can achieve its goals.

You will contribute to the continual improvement of council processes, policies and procedures that support the activities of the Accounts Payable Team and branch.

You will communicate both verbally and in written form with Council Officers and external contacts ensuring timely, accurate, customer-focused responses are provided whilst complying with all applicable procedures and legislation.

As a requirement of this role, you will possess a Certificate III in Business Administration or similar or equivalent relevant experience in similar finance based roles.

You would have a demonstrated understanding of relevant computer applications (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and financial systems), and demonstrated understanding of high-level data processing, and demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.

Appointment to this position is subject to the satisfactory completion of a Criminal History Check.
