Accounting Specialist
Job description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Part-time Accountants Payable and Receivable Specialist in the wellness industry located in Bloomington, Minnesota. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable and receivable processes and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Maintain and update customer credit records on a regular basis
• Ensure timely and precise billing functions
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Monitor the aging of receivables and take necessary action to collect overdue payments
• Code invoices accurately to ensure proper accounting procedures
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and report any discrepancies
• Manage the processing of customer credit applications efficiently
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills to resolve customer inquiries and issues
• Exhibit high attention to detail in all accounting tasks.
• Must possess a minimum of three years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in various accounting functions
• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in billing functions and code invoices
• Experience with account reconciliation is required
• Familiarity with aged receivables and cash reconciliations
• Ability to handle daily cash receipts
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.
