Sikich India is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist with extensive experience in tax law and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of US GAAP general accounting and be proficient in preparing and reviewing tax forms.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining thorough tax records, compiling reports on expenditures, payroll, and revenue. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential tax credits and produce accurate tax reports.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all types of U.S. Income Tax Returns to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Consult with clients and individual taxpayers on financial and tax planning matters.

• Provide strategic and tactical tax advice and recommendations to clients.

• Be willing and able to service multiple client engagements simultaneously.

• Ensure that reports sent to clients are accurate and delivered within scheduled timeframes.

• Participate in training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Find tax solutions to complex issues or errors from incorrect tax filings.

• Maintain awareness of tax changes and industry trends by reading professional publications.

Requirements for Success

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting with US Taxation experience.

• Intermediate CA, CA, CPA, or EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (or progress towards certification).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

• Knowledge of tax software (CCH Axcess, Lacerte, UltraTax, etc.) and US accounting systems.
