Job Title: Accountant – TDS , Direct tax & General Accounting
Location: Pune
Department: Finance & Accounts
Reports To: Associate (Chartered Accountant)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to handle TDS compliance along with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate Accounting, TDS Computation and filing of TDS returns, as well as supporting general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Calculate TDS on applicable transactions (salaries, contractors, rent, professional fees, etc.) as per Income Tax Act.
Ensure timely payment of TDS to government authorities for respective clients.
Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.) using tax software.
Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16, Form 16A) to clients.
Preparing and filling Income tax returns
Maintain records and documentation for TDS transactions and assist in responding respond to any notices from the tax department.
Record day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software for our clients
Stay updated on latest tax regulations and accounting standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
1–2 years of relevant experience in TDS and accounting.
Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally).
Sound knowledge of Income Tax and TDS provisions.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Good communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Income tax, TRACES and NSDL TDS portals.
Salary: As per Market standards
