Accounts Assistant
Full time, Bangalore (Hybrid)
In this role, you will be responsible for a full set of accounting books relating to Accounts payable transactions for APAC countries, participating in monthly management reporting, and assisting in audits.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will
Review invoices sent to the AP generic folder and action upon processing payments
Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
Record invoices & general-ledger data entry in the system.
Responsible for BSP, ADM/ACM reconciliations
Bank statement download and upload in SAP must be done on a weekly basis and ensure all AP-related transactions are booked
Perform credit card and bank account reconciliation
Post Miro transactions once POs are raised by the operations team
Coordinate with Operations for missing and pending data/actions
Process batch payments periodically after obtaining due approvals from all the levels as per the approval matrix
Send the payment swift summary to the initiator if necessary
Review employee claim submissions in concur and initiate the payment process and record the necessary journal entries in SAP
AP GL reconciliations must be performed on a regular basis
Prepare Weekly cashflow
Book fixed assets acquisitions and maintain the FAR
Post other journal entries and ad hoc activities as required by the job
Assist in an audit by providing necessary supporting documents as requested by auditors
About you
Prior accounting experience including 1 year in a full set of book function
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounts payable domain
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
Extensive years of experience in the Accounts payable domain
Proficiency in accounting solutions (SAP) and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in a Travel industry (Preferred)
