Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in an export company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, along with knowledge of GST, Tally, TDS, and other compliance requirements specific to the export industry.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the export company.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws.
Handle day-to-day accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely invoicing, payment collection, and vendor management.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure efficient financial operations.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management review.
Prepare and file GST returns, ensuring compliance with GST regulations.
Calculate and process TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) payments accurately and on time.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial support and guidance on export-related matters.
Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems, processes, and controls.
Support external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory developments relevant to the export industry.
Provide financial analysis and insights to aid in decision-making processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in an export company or a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Proficiency in using accounting software, specifically Tally.
Familiarity with GST regulations and experience in preparing and filing GST returns.
Sound understanding of TDS calculations, payments, and related compliances.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of export-related compliance requirements is highly desirable.
