Designation : Accounts Executive (Contractual)
Reporting to : Finance Manager at Marmon GIC
Location : Bangalore
Qualification : Degree in Accounting – Preference (CA - Inter/ CMA / Accounting Technician (ICAI)
Experience : 6-+ years of experience
Position Overview: Marmon is looking for a Accounting Specialist with a service-minded work ethic to support our Corporate Accounting team. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable, managing vendor activities, providing financial reporting support, and participating in related projects. Working directly with the Senior Accountant at Marmon’s Corporate office based in Chicago, IL, this is a highly visible and essential role within the organization.
Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
• Degree in Accounting – Preference (CA - Inter/ CMA / Accounting Technician (ICAI)
• 6-+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, iScala including strong Excel skills and comfort with learning new technology
• Sage X3, OneStream and/or Alteryx experience a plus, SAP, Oracle
• Proven knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
• Support the accounts payable and expense reimbursement processes
• Coordinate vendor management and verification activities
• Serve as a liaison between Marmon’s business units and corporate accounting
• Support the monthly close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with quarterly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Ensure compliance with Marmon cash and accounts payable accounting policies and internal controls
• Help to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies
• Generate ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Assist with special projects and process automation at the direction of the Assistant Controller and/or the Senior Accountant Preferred
