Job Description
Have to report to your reporting manager→ Finance manager / Assistant finance manager /any other you are asked to report.
Assist in managing revenues received and dispersed including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll,audit, general ledger reporting.
Cash handling functions for the hotel and reconcile all cash dropped at the front desk .
Perform follow-up billing and credit collection documentation and inform the Controller of any potential uncollected accounts.
Reconciles bank statements.
Review the postings, payments, revenue and guest balancereports on a daily basis.
Manage petty cash . Assists with reimbursable invoicing.
Process and follow-up on all returned checks accepted as cash payment.
Maintain Vendor’s permanent files and Certificates of Insurance.
Process authorise purchase requests as needed.
Any other job related duties as and when assigned by the Financial controller/ Finance manager / Assistant Finance manager.
Maintain Office supplies and order as needed.
PREREQUISITES:
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to compile facts and figures. Command of the English language both written and verbal.
As an Accounting Associate, you will be responsible for assisting Auditors and Accountants in essential accounting functions. You will also be responsible for preparing invoices and financial reports. To be successful in this position, you should have in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
