Key Responsibilities:
1. GST (Goods & Services Tax):
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
Perform reconciliation between GSTR-2B and purchase registers.
Manage GST input credit and ensure accurate utilization.
Handle GST payments and adjustments.
Assist in GST audits, assessments, and responding to departmental queries.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GST rules, notifications, and amendments.
2. TDS (Tax Deducted at Source):
Calculate monthly TDS liabilities as per applicable provisions.
Prepare and file TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.) within statutory deadlines.
Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16, Form 16A) to vendors/employees.
Ensure timely TDS payment and proper accounting entries.
Maintain TDS registers and assist in TDS reconciliations.
3. Accounting & Compliance:
Record day-to-day accounting transactions (purchase, sales, journal, bank entries, etc.).
Assist in monthly closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Support statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit processes.
Maintain proper documentation for all statutory compliances.
4. Coordination & Support:
Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities as required.
Assist management in financial analysis and compliance-related planning.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of GST and TDS provisions.
Hands-on experience with GST/TDS filing portals.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar).
Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Ability to meet statutory deadlines and work independently.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a similar accounting role involving GST workings, TDS calculations, and payment processing.
Exposure to GST audits and TDS compliance reviews will be an advantage.
