Job Description
As an accounts intern, your primary role will be to support the accounting department in various financial tasks and activities.
Your responsibilities may include:
Assist with financial data entry: Accurately input financial transactions, such as invoices, receipts, and payments, into the accounting system or software. Verify and reconcile data to ensure accuracy.
Support accounts payable and receivable: Help manage vendor invoices, process payments, and maintain records of outstanding payments. Assist in invoicing clients, tracking receivables, and following up on overdue payments.
Assist with bank reconciliations: Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile bank statements with company records, identify discrepancies, and resolve any issues that may arise.
Support financial reporting: Participate in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Gather and organize data, generate reports, and assist in analyzing financial information.
Help with general accounting tasks: Perform routine calculations, maintain financial records and documentation, organize files, and provide support during audits.
Collaborate with the accounting team: Work closely with other members of the accounting department, assisting them as needed and participating in team meetings or projects.
Perform administrative tasks: Manage correspondence, organize meetings, and maintain office supplies as required.
