Job Description
As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and activities of an organisation. You will play a crucial role in managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your primary objective will be to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial information while providing strategic guidance to support the organization's financial goals.
Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the daily operations of the accounting department.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, and cash flow management.
Monitor and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to minimize errors and fraud.
Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
Provide financial guidance and support to senior management, department heads, and staff.
Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
Proven work experience as an Accounts Manager, Accountant, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
