GENERAL FUNCTION: Performs varies to complex clerical Accounts Payable duties which require knowledge of Accounts Payable procedures and the interrelationships of accounts in systems covering operations which involve several different programs. Works under the general supervision of an Accounts Payable Manager or Director of Accounting.

TYPICAL DUTIES: The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.

• Receives, audits and processes vendor invoices against purchase orders for payment on accounts payable vouchers.

• Analyze supporting documents for completeness, accuracy, and proper approvals.

• Maintains positive work relationships with multiple departments by troubleshooting and analyzing invoice discrepancies and tracking communication.

• Prepares, reviews and release regular and special batches.

• Maintains accounts payable logs and records.

• Performs routine to varied clerical work.

• Provides general office support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Knowledge of business math and English.

• Knowledge of office procedures and automated accounting systems.

• Skilled in data entry and able to produce accurate and timely reports.

• Ability to make mathematical computations quickly and accurately.

• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Knowledgeable in Excel

• Ability to manage high work volumes by multitasking effectively.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: High School Diploma or General Education Development supplemented by course work in data entry operations, typing, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience in accounts payable processing is preferred.
