Full job description

An opportunity has arisen within our accounting team for a dynamic and driven Accounting Professional to join us as an Accounting Specialist Sr. focused on Accounts Payable.

In the Role

Perform accurate and timely invoice entry and payment processing.

Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.

Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox and respond to internal and external inquiries.

Set up and maintain vendor records, including banking and tax documentation.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.

Monitor invoice aging reports and follow up on outstanding items.

Ensure adherence to accounting policies, principles, and internal controls.

Support the preparation of Accounts Payable reports and reconciliations.

Provide excellent customer service to vendors, employees, and other departments.

Participate in month-end close process

Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation for audit purposes.

Assist with year-end 1099/1042 reporting requirements.

Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to resolve purchase order or payment issues.

Support system testing, upgrades, and process improvements as needed.

Perform other special projects as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma. Some college is preferred.

2+ years of experience working in accounting, accounts payable or other business related field

Strong Microsoft Office knowledge and work experience

Ability to follow established accounting and regulatory policies and procedures

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at different levels

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and an understanding of internal controls
