Clients: NTPC, BHEL, IOCL, SAIL, GAIL, International OEMs
Job Objective:
To ensure timely and smooth realization of receivables from PSU and private clients by coordinating with internal departments, clients, and banks while maintaining professional relationships and ensuring zero escalation or dispute.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and expedite payment collections from PSU clients including NTPC, BHEL, and others, as per agreed payment terms.
Liaise with customer accounts departments and project teams to obtain payment status updates and resolve discrepancies if any.
Follow up tactfully with client officers, finance departments, and bank representatives to ensure smooth and timely payments without straining relationships.
Track progress of payments (e.g., through PFMS, GeM, vendor portals), prepare payment follow-up reports, and maintain MIS of outstanding dues.
Handle all payment modes including NEFT/RTGS, LC, BG, advance payments, milestone-based billing, and final settlement.
Manage documentation and correspondence related to invoice submission, GRN confirmation, tax compliance, e-invoicing, and payment advice.
Coordinate with the accounts team for reconciliation of accounts and update aging reports.
Follow up for international remittances, SWIFT copy confirmations, and forex transactions with bank officials and overseas clients.
Escalate critical payment issues to management with factual reports and suggest resolution steps if required.
Ensure all communication remains courteous, professional, and aligned with Synergy's brand image.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate in Commerce or Business Administration; MBA Finance preferred.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in payment follow-ups with PSU, EPC, or industrial clients.
Sound knowledge of Indian and international payment systems including Letter of Credit, foreign remittance, and tax deductions.
Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM, ERP tools, and government portals like PFMS, GeM, SAP, NTPC/BHEL portals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to maintain cordial and positive client relationships even during delays or disputes.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with NTPC, BHEL, IOCL, GAIL, SAIL or similar government clients.
Exposure to documentation for import-export transactions and banking procedures.
Familiarity with MSME payment protection rules and arbitration channels.
