Activity Co-ordinator (Bank)
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and oversee a diverse range of activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents, including arts and crafts, games, music sessions, and physical exercises.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to encourage participation and gather feedback on activities.
Organise special events and outings that promote social interaction and community engagement.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and preferences to ensure personalised activity planning.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support residents with specific needs, including those requiring dementia care.
Ensure that all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with health regulations.
Experience
Previous experience in a similar role within senior care, assisted living, or nursing home environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with seniors, showing empathy and understanding of their unique needs.
Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage.
A background in recreational therapy or related fields would be beneficial but is not essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
