Job Description
Liability calculations
• Responsible for monthly liability calculations
• Check monthly liability calculations to be submitted to the Finance team
• Identify actuarial reasons for liability movement and present to finance team, CFO and AA monthly
Reporting
• Support preparation and review of annual reports- Appointed Actuary Annual Report, Annual Actuarial Report,
• Financial Condition Report and validating all calculations
• Support the annual valuation peer review conducted by an independent actuary, and submitted to the regulator
• Validate the quarterly specialized reinsurance report prepared by the team
• Respond to queries and data requests from the regulator
Experience Analysis and Assumption Setting
• Assist in analyzing the results of experience studies and finalize the assumptions
• Develop models for experience analysis from time to time.
• Document the key results and present to management.
IFRS17
• Develop a knowledge of IFRS17
• Assist in implementing IFRS17
• Liaise with the modeling team and finance team for IFRS17 implementation
The Successful Applicant
• Good Communication skills
• Well-versed with actuarial cash flows for all lines of businesses
• Good operating knowledge of Prophet software
• Proficient in Excel
• At least 8 actuarial exams cleared
• Minimum of 7-+ years of relevant working experience in the Actuarial domain, preferably in reporting or valuation however other experience can be considered.
• Prophet experience required
• IFRS17 experience preferred, but not compulsory
