Our actuarial services team sits within Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SR&T) division. This provides a unique opportunity for our actuarial team to sit with other professionals from strategy and business design, economics, mergers & acquisitions, forensics and risk advisory teams.

We provide actuarial services across four core focus areas:
Insurance Advisory
Work with insurance sector clients to provide end-to-end quantitative solutions, including strategic advice, product pricing, financial and operational risk modelling, capital optimisation, audit and assurance services, mergers and acquisitions, and more. Our clients span across various insurers including life insurers, general insurers and public sector indemnity and protection schemes – from the “big 4” general insurers offering all classes of insurance through to small niche providers offering customer specific insurance needs. You'll leverage technologies such as R, Python, and machine learning algorithms to derive actionable insights to help provide meaningful to institutions across the globe. This role offers a great opportunity to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, enhancing your strategic thinking, technical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Banking Advisory
Our Actuarial Banking Advisory Team leverages our actuarial expertise to provide comprehensive advisory services to retail and institutional banks, as well as government lending bodies. Our team specialises in quantitative risk analytics, covering credit risk, market risk, liquidity, and treasury support. You will also engage in retail banking product development, pricing strategies, and customer analytics. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your analytical skills in a dynamic environment, working on impactful projects that drive financial performance and client success.
Superannuation and Investment Advisory
Our Superannuation and Investment Advisory team provides strategic and quantitative advisory services to superannuation and investment fund managers. As a member of our superannuation and investment advisory team, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of areas, including superannuation funds member best interests strategic assessments, investment model design, investment manager selection, fund mergers, regulatory responses, retirement calculators, defined benefit calculations and more. This role offers the opportunity to serve a diverse range of institutional clients, including asset managers, super funds, wealth managers, charities, sovereign wealth funds, and insurers.
Superannuation & Investment Technology
Joining our Superannuation and Investment Technology teams offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation, utilising emerging technologies and strategies to deliver meaningful results to the investment management industry. You’ll have the opportunity to work with experts across the public and private market, specialising in areas including technology and data architecture, tender management, investment data management and technology operation model design and review.
