ADHD & Executive Function coaches provide the external structure and support to change behavior, monitor progress, and create a sense of accountability. They help clients achieve their goals by breaking down and simplifying all the specific tasks needed to accomplish those goals. ADHD coaches work collaboratively with clients in a non‑judgmental partnership that emphasizes practical tools for time management, planning, organizing, prioritizing, and decision‑making for effective daily living.
ADHD & Executive Function Coaches support both adults and adolescents diagnosed with ADHD to create and maintain structure at home, at school, in the office, and in everyday life. They work directly with clients and their immediate family members, and sometimes educators and other service providers, to foster an environment that promotes success in addressing specific needs and achieving personal goals.
JOB SUMMARY
Requires a minimum of 10 hours of in‑person availability per week at the Seattle Center between the hours of 3–7 PM, Monday–Friday.
Hours above 10 hours per week can be offered via telehealth in the hours of 8 am-7 pm, Monday through Friday.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience supporting diverse individuals in educational settings.
Demonstrated experience coaching clients of all ages one‑on‑one.
Experience working with children and teens.
General understanding of ADHD and its impact on the individual and family.
Understanding of Executive Function and how it relates to ADHD.
Bachelor’s Degree required, additional ADHD coaching certification and/or master’s in education or psychology-related field preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage administrative paperwork and email communication with parents, the administrative team, and clients.
Strong problem-solving abilities, demonstrated ability to empathize with diverse individuals, strong self‑knowledge/self‑awareness, and a clear ability to receive feedback and adjust practice accordingly.
