Cloud SQL Database administrator
Position Description
This is a unique opportunity to become part of CGI's Global Delivery Center. You will join a dynamic team in a collaborative environment. Y
ou will have the chance to work for different clients around the world from CGI's offices (Saguenay, Shawinigan, Sherbrooke, Drummondville, Montreal).
Our team of database administrators is looking to add cloud knowledge in order to properly support our clients' environments.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Install and configure database management systems (DBMS) (OnPrem or cloud deployment)
Perform DBMS upgrades (patch and upgrade)
Optimize cloud environment to reduce costs
Perform performance analysis
Ensure that backups are working properly and restore databases
Participate in team documentation by creating operating procedures
Assist developers with query optimization
Participate in project architecture and/or analysis
Participate in support rotation (24/7 availability).

Requirements
College or university diploma in computer science
Team spirit, analytical and problem-solving skills, autonomy and initiative
Minimum 1 year experience in DBAAS database management in Azure, AWS or GCP environments
Minimum 5 years' experience in OnPrem database administration
Functional command of spoken and written French and English.
