Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.
We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations — from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.

Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.

About the Role

As an Administrator in the Regional Health Analytics Group, you'll be the operational glue that keeps the team running smoothly. You'll manage shared inboxes, coordinate meetings and minutes, support procurement and invoicing, and help pull together key health analytics reports. You'll also provide hands-on administration support across projects, removing friction so analysts and leaders can focus on delivering high-quality insights that shape regional health decisions.

This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in getting the details right, and wants their work to contribute to meaningful, real-world outcomes. Your organisation, judgement, and proactive support will directly enable the success of a high-performing, purpose-led team.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Regional Health Analytics Group sits within Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand's Central Region. We provide timely, trusted data and analytics that inform decision-making across health services. Our work is collaborative, fast-moving, and grounded in continuous improvement. You'll join a supportive team that values initiative, shared learning, and doing work that makes a difference.

About you

You're a capable, organised administrator who thrives in a busy, complex environment. You're confident juggling multiple priorities, spot issues before they become problems, and take satisfaction in keeping systems, communication, and processes running seamlessly.

You communicate clearly, work comfortably with a wide range of stakeholders, and you're motivated by contributing to equitable health outcomes and enjoy learning, improving, and being part of a values-driven team.

Experience and requirements

Proven experience in office administration, coordination, or database management in a medium to large, complex organisation
Experience supporting projects, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and document management
Experience with financial administration, procurement processes, or invoice processing (desirable)
