Introduction:
At Carey Baptist College – Forrestdale Campus, we are seeking a warm, professional, and highly organised Administrative Officer to join our close-knit school community. This is a 0.8FTE, position that is currently end dated for 31-12-25 with the chance of ongoing from the beginning of 2026. The role is important in supporting the daily operations of the campus with care and excellence.

The Opportunity

This role is more than administration — it’s about being a welcoming first point of contact, a steady hand behind the scenes, and a trusted support to staff, students, and families alike. As the first face many encounter, you’ll help shape a culture of kindness, efficiency, and trust.

You’ll be part of a supportive, Christ-centred team that is committed to delivering high-quality education and creating a vibrant, positive learning environment. The role will involve a mix of reception duties, data entry, document management, communication with parents and staff, student support, and general office coordination.

What You Will Bring:

Previous experience in a school or busy front-facing office environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database systems, and confidence with a range of administrative tools.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with a warm and professional presence.
A calm, solutions-focused approach, able to multitask and manage competing priorities.
The ability to maintain confidentiality, work collaboratively, and build strong relationships across the school community.
High attention to detail, with strong time management and initiative.
A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
