The Role
This is a pivotal position within a world-renowned research Institute, directly supporting the Founding Director of the Australian Institute of Health Innovation Institute (AIHI) to provide high level executive assistance. The role acts as the liaison on behalf of the Founding Director for communication with important external stakeholders and coordinates associated work such as events, travel and meetings. In addition to supporting administration and financial management for the Centre, this role provides research, analysis and recommendations to support the Founding Director in various projects including research grant proposals.
The Administration Officer is a rewarding role that really makes a difference to the work that is done within the Institute. The role demands critical thinking and judgment to achieve successful outcomes in the face of challenges, offering ample opportunities for you to take ownership of various tasks.
About You
You will have strong administrative experience including providing administrative support to senior management. Computer based skills, attention to detail, planning and organisation skills are notches on your belt. You can proactively manage your busy workload to cope in a fast-paced environment and have a high degree of professionalism which is reflected in your work and in your communications with stakeholders. You enjoy a culture built on collaboration and respect and have an interest in health research and/or higher education.

The Centre for Healthcare Resilience and Implementation Science (CHRIS), within AIHI, has a multi-stream program of research which focuses on delivering health system improvement by working with patients, healthcare providers and policy makers. We are methodologically sophisticated, multidisciplinary and draw on assembled and collaborative expertise in areas including health systems, policy, medicine, nursing and allied health, psychology, anthropology, sociology and complexity science. Essential Criteria
Demonstrated extensive experience in an administration role within health research, university or corporate sectors
Demonstrated experience providing direct, high-level support to a Head of Function or senior manager including executive assistant, personal assistant and other related roles
Demonstrated skills in prioritising and balancing work to meeting deadlines
Proven professionalism in conducting communications with important stakeholders and representatives of external organisations
Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment
