Responsibilities
In person customer service or by telephone
This could include quoting grain prices, buying grain-producing settlements, proof of yields, etc
Help on scale weighing trucks, operating the grain probe and grading grain
Daily import and apply tickets to contracts or delayed price (not leaving grain on “Hold”)
Conduct clerical duties such as bank deposits, bank entries and reconciling statements
Contracts will be mailed to customers for confirmation signatures daily
Also monitor & resend unsigned contracts for signatures (as needed)
File contracts that are completed no less than weekly
Invoice customers daily or no less than once a week (customer’s preference) on outbound grain
Spot sales will be done daily
Process/enter direct-ship paperwork daily or as soon as tickets are turned in
Work with Excel spreadsheets
Work with online platforms utilized by the company:
HMS – grain purch/sale/hedge, grain offer management
Manage inventories of materials used in the grain office (contracts, bill of ladings, checks, paper, etc)
Look for ways to further streamline daily duties (become more efficient)
Help with any other tasks as assigned by your supervisor
This could include helping other departments
Some weekends and overtime will be required during high volume days or during fall harvesting period
