Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide support to the Foundation's Executive Director and Board of Directors, ensuring smooth communication and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to organize and prioritize work. Proficiency in social media platforms with the ability to build and maintain an online presence, both on social media and websites is a must.

Duties, included but not limited to:

Providing administrative support to the Executive Director

Assisting in execution of Foundation service projects throughout the hospital

Building and maintaining a social media presence

Building and maintaining website presence

Maintaining donor walls

Assisting with donor recognition, receipting, and tracking

Assisting in setting up, and executing events

Maintaining office supplies

Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries and assisting clients in a professional manner

Handle phone systems efficiently, including answering calls, directing inquiries, and taking messages

Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity before distribution

Assist with clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records

Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the Foundation

Requirements

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Exceptional interpersonal skills, interacting with a variety of groups

Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing and growing workplace

Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Proficiency in Google Suite , Microsoft Office, and various digital platforms, with a willingness and ability to learn new programs.

Excellent proofreading skills with attention to detail

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

Dawson Creek, BC V1G 3W8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Administrative: 2 years (preferred)

Social media management: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

English (required)
