The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an ambitious professional individual who works directly with a supervisor or administrator

Administrative management practices

General office practices and procedures

Business English, spelling, and grammar

Proper telephone etiquette

Dealing with staff, inmates, and public

Word processing and spreadsheet software

ADCRR policies and procedures

Verbal and written communication

Operation of general office equipment

Data entry

Preparing and formatting difficult and complex reports

Writing correspondence

Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships

Plan, analyze, coordinate and prioritize work

Work in a business/professional environment

Multi-task

Work in a prison environment

Two (2) – three (3) years of experience providing administrative support to a manager/administrator

Working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and a drug test

Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks

The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended

Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training

An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11)

All newly hired State employees are subject to and must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)

Reviews publications, emails, mail and photos for content violating ADCRR policies; may include nudity, offensive language,

illegal drug activity and offensive ****** content

Researches and gathers data for the preparation of various reports and special projects

Prepares a variety of correspondence and responses; responds to related questions from the public and staff

Investigates complaints and resolves problems or refers to the appropriate area

Organizes and files both confidential and administrative files

Maintains and operates general office equipment

Reviews and processes incoming and outgoing regular and legal mail

Will be assigned and trained to process deceased inmate property

Attends meetings and takes minutes

Drives on State business

Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

Pre-Employment Requirements:
