Role Responsibilities

Are you looking to grow your administrative skills and financial expertise in a dynamic environment? Join the Correctional Services Division, Community Corrections Branch, as an Administrative Lead for an opportunity to challenge yourself and advance your career!

Reporting to the Manager of Central Alberta Community Corrections, you will provide senior administrative support services to the Community Corrections Office, including the office Manager, Senior Probation Officers, Probation Officers and the office administrative team where applicable. You will be responsible for coordinating the daily administrative operations of the office, which includes reception, payroll, inventory control, data entry, on site computer and IT coordination, records management, as well as handling sensitive and confidential information of both staff and clients and other complex work. This position may be responsible for supervising and providing leadership and training to other subordinate administrative staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma supplemented by a minimum of three years of related administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with work experience in correctional services as well as intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ORCA system, JOIN, I-REQUEST, and 1GX Success Factors.

Equivalency:
Directly related experience or education will be considered on the basis of:
•1 year of experience for 1 year of education; or
•1 year of education for 1 year of experience

Notes

This posting will be used to fill one permanent full-time position. The hours of work are 36.25 per week, Monday to Friday.

Red Deer Community Corrections Office - 103 Main Floor, Provincial Building, 4920-51 Street, Red Deer, AB T4N 6K8.
