About the position
Responsibilities
• Manage and lead a comprehensive administrative support program including financial management, human resources, and procurement.
• Draft and review policy correspondence to ensure accurate budgetary, personnel, and administrative impact.
• Participate in the development of short and long-term strategic planning for the organization.
• Supervise a staff of administrative, clerical, and technical personnel.
• Assign work, set priorities, and review and evaluate the work and performance of subordinates.
• Approve leave requests and coach employees for development.
• Recommend corrective or disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Assist in budget planning and project management within assigned resources.
• Resolve routine problems impacting the objectives of the organizational unit.
• Coordinate with customers outside the immediate organization when required.
Requirements
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status is required.
• Completion of a favorable Background Investigation (BI) is mandatory.
• Selective Service registration is required.
• One year of specialized experience at the SV-H or GS-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector is necessary.
• Experience in designing and preparing fiscal reports is required.
• Ability to interpret human resource policies and directives is essential.
• Experience in reviewing and approving procurement activities is necessary.
• Strong communication skills to provide guidance to staff on administrative issues.
