Details: Statutory Planning is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to assist in leading the Land Use Services team that assess and determine a wide range of applications associated with the delivery of land use, planning and environmental objectives within the Statutory Planning Division.
The current vacancy is within the Land Use Services team, which is primarily responsible for managing the ACT leasehold system in accordance with the Planning Act 2023. This includes the assessment and determination of land‑use related applications, the review of lease variation charges, the production of Crown leases, and oversight of the lease variation registration process.
The team also undertakes the ongoing administration of land‑use management services, including concessional lease determinations; licensing over unleased land; unit and community title approvals; applications for unit title; dealings with rural leases; land rent reappraisals; and land rent payouts. Land Use Services provides advice and services to a wide range of stakeholders, including the Minister’s Office, executives, CED staff, industry representatives, and the broader community.

The team comprises motivated professionals who work collaboratively to implement new ways of working that enhance service delivery to the community, industry, and other stakeholders across a diverse range of planning and approval processes.

Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT. Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
