The Role

Reporting to the Manager Governance and based in Windsor, the purpose of the Administrative Support Coordinator is to lead the administrative support team including scheduling priorities, allocating work, developing skill sets and ensuring the delivery of required outcomes. The Coordinator is responsible for the administration of Council Meetings, Council Committee Meetings and Hawkesbury Local Planning Meetings.

You will be self motivated with the ability and confidence to professionally engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will have demonstrated leadership capability along with excellent administration experience. You will be a fast and flexible thinker and will be adept at effectively managing competing priorities in order to deliver results.

Essential Criteria

Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or equivalent work experience

Knowledge and understanding of current word processing packages and systems including Microsoft Office suite, ECM, Ci Anywhere and Dxp

Experience with Desktop Publishing software programs such as Adobe InDesign and awareness of new technology

Typing speed of at least 80wpm and a high level of attention to detail

Experience in compilation of meeting agendas and recording of minutes in an electronic format

Experience in defining training needs, delivering training and supporting key system users, including councillors, council staff and team members

Experience in public policy development and implementation

Available to attend Council Meetings which are held outside business hours (Tuesday evenings, twice per month)
