Job Description
The RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg has an opening for a full-time, salaried position of ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT - EVENT SERVICES.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Client Services, this position performs administrative tasks to support services provided to guests, clients, and operations of the Centre. The position prepares and distributes various reports, provides administrative support for exhibitor orders and service desk operations, books internal meetings, assists with meeting room and event signage, and provides primary backup support for reception coverage.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years' related work experience with knowledge of basic accounting fundamentals and processing. High school diploma. Completion of a recognized administrative certificate program would be considered an asset. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained. Skilled at prioritizing tasks and adapting quickly to changing priorities in fast-paced environments. Candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams). Knowledge of event management program, would be considered an asset. The ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team with a strong guest service approach are required.
This is a scheduled position, with salary in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Convention Centre Corporation and the Canadian Union of Public Employees - Local 500.
