Your Opportunity:
Working under the general direction of the area supervisor, the Booking Clerk performs reception and patient appointment scheduling duties for the Diagnostic Imaging department located at Arthur J.E Child Comprehensive Cancer Center. The individual will be required to obtain and maintain all records associated with an appointment and will work closely with other areas within the Diagnostic Imaging department.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent required. Recognized Business/Clerical course desired. Medical Terminology Course required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Diagnostic Imaging bookings required. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills – must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm. Must be able to work all shifts based on operational needs. Previous electronic scheduling experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Internet, and Email). Must be able to utilize dual monitors. It’s your move training required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 10lbs. May assist healthcare providers with lifting or transferring of patients. N+5 fit testing required. Absolute attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions.
