Are you a natural organiser who thrives on multitasking? Join our collaborative team at the National Parks and Wildlife Service, where you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality customer service and administrative support in a rewarding and purpose-driven environment.

About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive multitasker to join the Conservation Programs Branch Support team as an Administrative Support Officer. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Branch by providing high-quality administrative, coordination and communication support. This position is central to managing the flow of information within the Branch and supporting senior leadership to meet priorities and deadlines.

The role is responsible for managing a high volume of Ministerial folios and other correspondence received through the Branch mailbox, ensuring emails are accurately triaged and allocated to the appropriate teams for action. You will track and schedule responses for Director approval, ensuring all correspondence is delivered on time and in line with required standards. You will provide direct administrative support to the Branch Director, including diary and email management, and assist the Branch Management Team through effective information sharing and coordination. The role also supports governance activities by assisting with the preparation and minute-taking for weekly meetings. Additional responsibilities include maintaining staff lists, coordinating and preparing Branch-wide communications, managing branch asset registers, and responding to ad hoc requests and enquiries from Branch staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated administrator who enjoys working collaboratively, supporting senior stakeholders and contributing to the effective delivery of Branch operations, enabling the branch support team to deliver on its objectives.

About You

Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to respond professionally to enquiries, provide practical support to colleagues and contribute positively to a small, busy team.

You are proactive, adaptable and take initiative to keep administrative processes running smoothly. You are confident using office systems and registers to maintain accurate records, including staff lists, meeting documentation and branch assets, and you take pride in delivering high‑quality work that supports effective branch operations.
