This is a permanent, part time role (12 hours a week) at our Titirangi Kindergarten

The Organisation

Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has been a leader in Early Childhood Education (ECE) since 1+08. With 108 kindergartens, four KiNZ centres, and a dedicated support team, we are committed to providing high-quality education for tamariki across Auckland.

Grounded in Te Whāriki, our bicultural approach ensures tamariki, their whānau, and the wider community are at the heart of everything we do. Our kindergartens offer enriching, play-based learning environments, laying strong foundations for lifelong success.

The Role

We provide a rich and stimulating learning environment, including an expansive outdoor play area, for our tamariki to explore and play. Sustainability is a key focus at Titirangi Kindergarten, having achieved silver status in the Enviroschools programme. Our teaching team work with tamariki to develop their interests and nurture their love of learning by providing a peaceful environment for tamariki to explore.

Be part of an amazing team in a fun environment where tamariki are the focus. You will work closely with both kaiako and other support staff, as well as our kindergarten whānau whilst primarily being responsible for the day-to-day administration processes, including enrolments, accounts and providing support to the Head Kaiako and teaching team.

Things to note

This is a permanent, part time position. There is flexibility in the 12 hours per week which can be spread over 3 days

You will only be working during the kindergarten term time

To be successful in this role you will

have previous administration and accounts experience, preferably in an Early Childhood environment, but this is not essential.

be a confident communicator displaying professional maturity with a calm manner.

able to build and maintain outstanding relationships with our diverse community.

be flexible, adaptable and a collaborative team player who is not afraid to pitch in where needed.

be able to self-manage, uses initiative, and work independently to achieve positive outcomes.

have strong computer skills (preferably using Mac).

have strong attention to detail and be organised.

Have a sense of humour and be a team player.
