Job Description
The AC will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling students for the school. AC will help prospective student’s parents understand the school & its philosophy, programs offered, admissions process and other related activities. He/She will assist parents in making informed decisions about their child’s education.
For existing students, the counsellor will play a crucial role of looking after their general welfare & manging their student life in the school, apart from guiding the parents & assisting them with various support requirements.
The admission counsellor works closely with the admin, teachers & marketing team to meet the above two objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Meet with prospective student’s parents:
a. Typically the first point of contact, meet with prospective student’s parents to discuss their educational goals and to explain the admissions process.
2 Provide information:
a. Provide information about the institution, its programs, and the admissions requirements.
3 Conduct campus tours:
a. Conduct campus tours for prospective student’s & their parents and families.
4 Drive recruitment events:
a. Drive recruitment events to promote the institution and its programs.
5 Enquiry handling:
a. Handle all enquiries arising through walk-ins, marketing programs & events.
6 Evaluate applications:
a. Evaluate applications and make admissions decisions in accordance with established criteria.
7 Assist with financial aid:
a. Assist students in applying for financial aid, as per need & qualification criteria.
8 Maintain records:
a. Maintain accurate records of student inquiries, applications, admissions decisions, in-school student records, right up to their graduation from school.
+ Develop and maintain relationships:
a. Develop and maintain relationships with parents, related counsellors, community organizations, and other groups that can refer students to the institution.
10 Participate in admissions, marketing & student development meetings:
a. Participate in admissions committee meetings to discuss and evaluate applicants, plans for recruitment, marketing initiatives, existing student welfare etc.
11 Parent Counselling :
a. Counselling of existing parents & addressal of their issues, developing plans for general welfare & comfort of students etc
12 Stay up-to-date: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, changes in admission policies, and other factors that may affect enrollment.
Requirements:
1 Bachelor's degree in a related field such as education, counselling, or psychology.
2 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
3 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4 Excellent interpersonal skills.
5 Attention to detail and accuracy.
6 Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7 Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
8 Experience in school admissions or counselling will be preferred but not required.

Salary: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
