The Role

In the Policy and Communications Coordination Analyst role, you’ll play a pivotal part in keeping our online policy and procedure manual current while managing vital communications, including organizing weekly divisional policy and process calls, field communications and coordinating service delivery inquiries. You’ll directly support front-line services, community partners, and the public, making a tangible impact with your work. Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

Post-Secondary Degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Public Administration or Social Sciences AND two (2) years’ related experience; OR

Post-Secondary Diploma in an unrelated field AND three (3) years’ related experience; OR

Secondary School Diploma or GED equivalent AND four (4) years’ related experience; OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Related Experience Must Include:

Experience reviewing policy issues in a service delivery environment.

Experience preparing and providing written summaries related to legislation, policy or complex service delivery issues.

Experience working with colleagues and/or stakeholders to resolve complex policy or service delivery issues.

Experience working with various software systems, such as Chefs, CMS Lite, Secure File Transfer Protocols, MS Office.

Preferences may be given for:

Applicants that have a minimum of 1 year experience working with BC Employment Assistance legislation and policies.

Applicants who have experience with CMS-Lite software.

About this Position:

This position may be located in any SDPR office where space is available: Abbotsford, Burnaby, Campbell River, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Courtenay, Duncan, Kamloops, Kelowna, Langley, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, Nelson, New Westminster, Prince George, Salmon Arm, Surrey, Terrace, Vernon, Vancouver, and Victoria (subject to operational requirements and space availability).

This is a temporary opportunity until June 30, 2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.

An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.

A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
