Job Summary
The Team
The Primary Care Division is dedicated to enhancing healthcare services by establishing patient-centered policies that ensure high-quality care across our province. As a close-knit, medium-sized team, we collaborate closely with our service delivery partners to address key priorities in primary care. Together, we develop initiatives aimed at expanding both access and attachment to primary care, as well as the quality and comprehensiveness of that care, for British Columbians, and we seek to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.

The Role
As a Policy Analyst, you’ll play an essential role in supporting the Primary Care Division’s leadership and team members with the development of refreshed and revised policies in the primary healthcare space. The role offers you a chance to make a significant impact by engaging with internal and external partners, and by being an essential contributor to healthcare policies moving forward. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field AND 2 years of related experience; OR
Diploma in business administration, public administration, or a related field AND 3 years related experience; OR
Certificate or coursework in business administration, public administration, or a related field AND 4 years related experience; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Related experience includes the following:
Experience researching, analyzing, developing, and/or implementing policy, regulation, and/or legislation.
Experience managing policy projects and/or project components with minimal supervision.
Experience writing for an executive/senior-level leadership audience (examples include reports, policy concept papers, presentations, briefing notes).
Providing advice and recommendations based on research and policy analysis.


Preference may be given to candidates with the following:

Experience developing or implementing provincial scale policies or programs.
Experience working in the health and/or community care sectors.

About this Position:
There is one (1) full time regular position available.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
