The Adobe team drives strategic direction and solution enablement in support of Marketing Teams. We accelerate innovation and learning, advance sales and delivery excellence with high-caliber Marketing Technology solutions including Adobe technology expertise. Our focus is 4 go-to-market solution areas: Experience and Content Management with a focus on Content Supply Chain, Digital Asset Management; Personalized Insights and Engagement with a focus on Analytics, Customer Data Platforms, and Journey Orchestration; Digital Commerce with a focus on Experience Led Commerce and Product Information Management; Marketing Operations and Workflow with a focus on resource management, reporting and approvals of the content and data required to run Personalization and Campaigns at Scale.

We are seeking a Principal with expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to lead implementations and apply optimization tactics between data, personalization and engagement. This role requires technical knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and hands-on experience designing, deploying, and refining cross-channel personalized journeys. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to define requirements, integrate data sources, and enhance customer experiences through real-time personalization and orchestration.

What You’ll Do
• Lead end-to-end implementations of AJO including solution design, configuration, and optimization.
• Partner with clients to define use cases, customer journey strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Configure and manage AJO campaigns across all execution types including triggered (event-based), batch and blast campaigns as well as segmentation, and real-time personalization.
• Design journey logic including suppressions, branching, and A/B testing opportunities to inform optimizations.
• Support source and destination integrations with AJO, including connections within AEP as well as external applications.
• Collaborate with marketing, IT, and analytics teams to ensure seamless data flows and omnichannel engagement.
• Guide best practices for privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and data governance within AJO.
• Conduct workshops and training for client teams on AJO capabilities, analytics, and journey orchestration best practices.
• Support campaign performance analysis and recommend strategies for continuous optimization.
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping clients maximize their investment in AJO and AEP.

What You’ll Bring
• 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, customer journey orchestration, or related fields.
• Strong expertise in Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including:
• Data ingestion and profile unification.
• Segmentation and real-time event-based triggers.
• Cross-channel message delivery (email, SMS, push notifications).
• API-based integrations with external systems.
• Experience working on large-scale customer engagement strategies.
• Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance regulations, and security best practices.
• Knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud products, such as Real-Time CDP, Campaign, Marketo and/or Target, is a plus.
• Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B Edition and Campaign Orchestration within AJO is a plus.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, Postman and/or Pipedream and cloud-based data platforms is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Journey Optimizer (preferred but not required).
• Strong client management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business impact.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior consultants in AJO best practices.
• Comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments with shifting client needs.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on the latest Adobe innovations.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges:
• East Bay, San Francisco, Silicon Valley:
• Senior Consultant: $154,000–$188,500
• Principal: $190,000–$232,000
• San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, Seattle, Boston, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, Washington DC, Westchester:
• Senior Consultant: $141,000–$173,000
• Principal: $174,000–$212,500
• All other locations:
• Senior Consultant: $129,500–$158,500
• Principal: $159,500–$195,000

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
