Person specification

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
• Registered Nurse with relevant and valid NMC licence to practice
• Maintain all mandatory and statutory learning

Desirable criteria
• Training Qualification or equivalent experience
• Relevant post registration course

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria
• At least 6 months post preceptorship experience in an acute setting
• Previous experience of speciality

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
• Good basic level of English language demonstrated through effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and use initiative
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to take the lead, initiate and ensure appropriate action in response to the deteriorating patient
• Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse community

• Ability to develop own clinical skills and a willingness to participate in continuing professional development
