Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist (Continence) to join our team at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury. As a key member of our Older Persons Health and Rehabilitation Team, you will play a vital role in promoting clinical excellence and advancing nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing advanced health assessments and expert knowledge in continence, urology, and gerontology to older persons.
Modeling expert, evidence-based clinical practice and networking nationally to identify and implement nursing innovations.
Leading nursing interventions and facilitating interdisciplinary team meetings to support complex clients with co-morbidities.
Participating in system change initiatives and contributing to the planning and delivery of community nursing education.
Requirements:
Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current practising certificate.
At least five years of experience working with older adults in primary, community, or secondary settings.
Experience in Continence and/or Urology and hold or actively working towards a relevant Post-graduate Nursing Diploma.
Ability to work autonomously with advanced nursing skills at a senior nurse or expert PDRP level.
