Overall Responsibilities And Duties
The Software requirement engineer oversees the deriving SW requirements from System requirements. Requirements elicitation, integration into the baseline, follow-up of their analysis (feasibility and verifiability) by core-teams and traceability through all the development cycle.
SW Requirement engineer is also responsible for providing the Implementation status and bidirectional traceability for each milestone for the assigned feature.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum Education Level
• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science.
Experience
• Master/Bachelor of engineering degree in Electronics/Computer Science with prior experience of minimum 6-+ years in Automotive
Skills And Competencies
Must Have:
• Software development understanding
• SDLC knowledge
• Waterfall / Agile methodology
• Automotive background
• Experience in any of the Automobile ECU like – IVI, Cluster, BCM etc…
• Core experience of Embedded C and RTOS/FREE RTOS OS background.
• Development Experience on different Microcontroller(8/16/32 Bit) NXP, Renesas, Atmel
• Automotive Embedded Software Development experience
• Memory optimization /Memory Size checking /Memory Report Generation
• Expertise in MCU Low Level Driver Development like IAP, boot loader, Conditional Compilations.
• Able to handle specifications for software requirements, hardware interfaces, module design
• study HSIS document
• Handled Power management modes in different MCU
• Experience in handling watchdog, Sleep mode
• CAN DIAG Bootloader experience
Nice To Have
• A-SPICE
• Ticket Management tools (JIRA), Confluence , DOORs / DNG.
• Knowledge in functional safety and ISO 26262
Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain the Software specification document (SWE.1)for the assigned feature.
• Categorize the Software requirements baseline from the System requirements documents into the requirement management tool according to the FCE-E guidelines
• Lead Software requirements analysis by core-teams according to the FCE-E requirement process:
• feasibility assessment
• verifiability and verification
• traceability
• Assure consistency and accuracy of the requirement status in the requirement management tool,
• Establish, maintain and report KPI related to requirements (acceptance, implementation, coverage) to internal team.
• Raise early alerts in case of delayed or missing work product expected for project milestones and in case of requirement management process deviation
• Support the implementation and verification of the assigned feature.
• Work within ASPICE process objectives, achievement of ASPICE levels and supporting audits.
