Role Description
The Advancement Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. This individual will support fundraising initiatives, donor relations, and community engagement efforts to ensure the organization’s goals are met. Responsibilities include coordinating donor communications, assisting with event planning, maintaining donor databases, conducting research for funding opportunities, and collaborating with team members on advancement strategies. The Advancement Associate will play a key part in fostering relationships with stakeholders to promote the mission of Summerhouse Houston.
Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication, content creation, and donor communication skills
• Experience in fundraising, event planning, and community engagement
• Proficiency with donor database software, CRM tools, and experience in data management
• Organizational and project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders
• Understanding of nonprofit operations and experience in advancing mission-driven organizations is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
