We’re looking for all‑rounders with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work at the centre of the NSW Cabinet system of government.
Multiple full-time ongoing, temporary and talent pool, Clerk Grade 7/8 ($113,574 - $125,720 per annum) roles available.
Based in Martin Place, Sydney CBD with flexible working arrangements available.
About the Role
As an Advisor, Cabinet you will support the effective operations of Cabinet and Cabinet Committees by managing allocated processes, policy and project work. The role delivers high‑quality advice on Cabinet practice, ensuring proposals and documentation meet required standards and timeframes. In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the department and wider government sector. Working closely with the Associate Director and broader team, you will contribute to continuous improvement of Cabinet operations, including use of the eCabinet system. This is a high‑volume, confidential environment requiring sound judgement, collaboration and attention to detail.

About the Cabinet Team
The Cabinet Team, within The Cabinet Office, are the custodians of Cabinet conventions, practices and processes. Cabinet and Cabinet Committees are the fundamental decision-making bodies for the NSW Government to make policy decisions that achieve the government’s objectives and benefit the people of NSW.
We ensure matters submitted for Cabinet consideration are submitted in the right way, at the right time, in line with government priorities and are of the highest quality. We provide advice to the Premier on all proposals coming to Cabinet from agencies to ensure alignment to government priorities.
We work across the entire sector to support the functioning of the Cabinet system by providing strategic advice and leading on Cabinet practice, developing products and systems, and using our skills and experience to create solutions. We deal with the new and the novel with no two days being the same. We are highly responsive to requests from stakeholders, endeavour to always perform at a high standard and have a keen eye for detail.
