The Medsafe Pharmacovigilance Team at Medsafe is responsible for post market safety surveillance of medicines (pharmacovigilance), and is part of the Clinical Risk Management Branch. Medsafe is part of a directorate promoting effective regulation and evidence-based decision making. Medsafe specifically ensures that medicines have acceptable quality, safety and efficacy.

As an Advisor (Pharmacovigilance) you will identify and investigate medicine safety issues, recommend actions and communicate these to Consumers and healthcare professionals. You will also evaluate company submissions to make safety changes to their data sheets.

You will also provide secretariat duties for the Medicines Adverse Reactions Committee for example, organising meetings and taking meeting minutes.
