As the industry evolves, so do we, through innovative technology, new ways of working, and a team of people who are passionate about what they do.

Now’s the time to get on board. We’re building a forward-thinking, modern CAA, and we need people who want their work to matter. People who thrive on challenges, value collaboration, and want to make a positive impact every day.

If you're ready to grow your career while helping keep one of New Zealand’s most vital sectors safe and secure, this is your opportunity.

About the role

We have a permanent role available for an experienced Recruitment Advisor to join our supportive and trusted team of recruitment and HR professionals. Please note, our preference is to have the successful candidate based in Queenstown but we may consider a Christchurch base as well.

You will partner directly with hiring leaders across CAA, where your expertise will be valued, and contribute towards building overall leadership capability, and driving long-lasting outcomes that deliver results for some of our most business-critical roles.

As Advisor, Recruitment, you will:

Manage the end-to-end, bulk recruitment process for frontline Aviation Security roles across our South Island locations
Lead end to end recruitment activity for a portfolio of specialist roles.
Be a key recruitment contact for volume/bulk recruitment for our frontline Aviation Security opportunities.
Coach and guide people leaders to build recruitment capability.
Champion a positive candidate experience that reflects our values.
Contribute to continuous improvement and people-focused projects.

In addition, you will have excellent planning skills, be able to anticipate potential risks and ensure the recruitment process remains at the highest standard. We are largely an operational organisation, so you will need to be able to work under pressure and have the ability to flex as demands change.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful you will bring:

Previous experience in delivering quality recruitment services.
Previous experience in the co-ordination of assessment centres, utilisation of a wide range of selection tools is preferrable
Well-developed customer service ethos and the ability to translate this to the provision of value-add services and support.
An understanding of best-practice recruitment methodologies, processes, and approaches
The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

While your role is predominantly focussed on recruitment, we are a team that works together, and there will be occasions where you will need to pitch in as necessary. This means you will have an interest and willingness to learn, and engage, in a wider scope of HR activities, beyond recruitment as needed.

Why Join Us?

Be part of a highly respected government organisation with a vital public safety mission.
Work in an inclusive, and purpose-driven team.
Gain exposure to a diverse, nationwide workforce.
Contribute to shaping the talent landscape of the aviation sector.

The starting salary for this role is between $83,600 and maximum of $102,302. Starting salaries are to be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.
