• Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Advocate to join our legal team at Payplex Solutions Pvt. Ltd. The Advocate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support across various functions of the company, including contracts, compliance, litigation, dispute resolution, and corporate governance.
• Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory & Compliance:
Provide legal advice on various matters, including banking operations, fintech regulations, payment processing, and company policies. Ensure the company complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Contract Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and partners. Ensure that agreements are legally sound and protect the interests of the company.
- Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
Represent the company in legal matters, including litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations. Work closely with external legal firms when necessary.
- Corporate Governance:
Oversee corporate governance matters, including compliance with statutory requirements, board meetings, and shareholder issues.
- Employment Law:
Advise on employment-related matters, including employee agreements, terminations, and dispute resolution.
- Intellectual Property Protection:
Assist in safeguarding the company’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Documentation:
Draft and review legal documents, including notices, agreements, affidavits, and other necessary legal paperwork for internal and external purposes.
- Regulatory & Licensing:
Manage the licensing process and ensure compliance with regulatory authorities such as RBI, SEBI, and other financial bodies.
- Risk Management:
Assess and mitigate legal risks to the company and provide solutions to minimize exposure.
• Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Advocate or in a corporate legal role, preferably in the fintech or banking industry.
- Additional qualifications in corporate law or related fields would be a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws related to fintech, banking, payment systems, contracts, and corporate governance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple legal matters simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- High attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage external law firms.
- Experience with regulatory compliance in the fintech industry.
- Personal Traits:
- Strong ethical standards and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
