Overview
The AEM Developer plays a critical role in developing and maintaining Adobe Experience Manager applications that enhance user engagement and streamline content management processes. This role is vital for delivering high-quality digital experiences that drive customer satisfaction and business effectiveness at every touchpoint. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the AEM Developer will leverage their technical expertise in AEM to bridge business needs with technological solutions.
As an integral part of the team, the AEM Developer will design, implement, and optimize AEM components, templates, and workflows that facilitate seamless content delivery. Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance AEM applications adhering to best practices.
• Design and implement AEM components, templates, and workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements.
• Integrate AEM with third-party services and APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure application stability and performance through rigorous testing.
• Fix bugs and optimize existing applications for better performance.
• Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to the AEM environment.
• Develop documentation for code and application features.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives).
• Provide technical troubleshooting and support for AEM projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in AEM.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Support the deployment of applications and associated processes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in AEM development.
• Strong knowledge of Java and OSGi frameworks.
• Experience with Frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Proven ability to develop, customize, and maintain AEM components.
• Familiarity with AEM Core Components and Templates.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Understanding of RESTful services and web services integration.
• Knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Experience in a client-facing role is a plus.
