Job Description
This position oversees providing support and new development work using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS as part of Petco's omni-channel digital growth strategy. This involves E-Com desktop site, mobile/responsive website, mobile app, POS and other future channels and/or new websites.
Designs, builds, tests, deploys, support software, systems, platforms or infrastructure
Designs, builds, and maintains the core infrastructure and code used by all engineering teams
Provides support for production and non-production deployments and environments
IDs, collects, and provide analysis of data and can match to user need
Conducts software and hardware requirements reviews, preliminary and critical design reviews, and software acceptance reviews
Ensures objectives are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Support existing AEM/Cloudinary implementations as the enterprise CMS (break/fix)
Provide feedback on internal team processes and overall project implementation and architecture
Implement platform upgrade path strategies
Support proactive monitoring and issue resolution
Perform release management activities for the purpose of code deployment/management
Iterate changes to the application design to support varying performance needs
Four-year degree in a technical field related to networks and information systems, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience is required.
2- 5 years of experience directly involved in AEM development
Able to take on routine tasks and provide solutions
Ability to express written & verbal thoughts to others in the technical field
Experience working on AEM 6.5+ version
Solid understanding of OOTB and custom components/widgets, DAM/WCM capabilities, MSM, custom Workflows, integrations; ability to accurately estimate LOE
Experience of either front-end and/or back-end development within AEM
Solid knowledge of the AEM architecture and technology (OSGi Framework, Servlet engine, Lucene indexing, Apache Felix, Sling, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and CoralUI/TouchUI frameworks.
Familiarity with CICD using Maven, GitLab Runners/ Jenkins, git
