Roles and Responsibility
• We are looking for an Agile Transformation Coach who is guided by agile mindset, values and principles, and is not afraid to challenge and has a genuine passion for working with people. Candidate will need to use his/her strengths in coaching, mentoring, advising facilitating and training. He/She will regularly need to adapt and change approach based upon the person or team supported through the cultural transition towards embedding organisational agility.
• The Agile Transformation Coach will work with the Financial Market Technology/Business leaders and the delivery teams to drive the transformation and adopt, continuously improve the new Ways of Working holistically. Agile within Standard Chartered Bank is not just an implementation of Scrum or Kanban within a software development team; it is a new way of working (nWOW) that's applied across all areas of the organisation.
• The Agile Transformation coach will closely work with the squads, hives and chapters to develop a value-driven culture and state of the art agile practices/processes. As a subject matter expert, will assist the transformation leads in providing direction and guidance throughout the transformation journey.
• The Transformation Coach will utilize in-depth knowledge of the agile best practices, development guidelines and culture to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the FM portfolio. Based on his/her background and aspirations, the Agile Transformation coach will be also empowered to innovate and experiment the delivery of specific FM initiatives to practice and demonstrate how Agile delivery can be efficiently scaled.
• The Transformation Coach will need to have passion and drive to foster motivation in others to change, he will act as a trusted advisor to leaders in all levels within the organisation from the Agile teams to the leaders/Managing Directors.
• The Transformation Coach is an Individual contributor that trains and coaches teams within the framework of agile and SCB new Ways of Working. He, she will work closely with Financial Markets Technology & Innovation and FM COO.
• Executes the Agile transformation strategy on the ground within the squads up to the hives/segments prioritized by the FM Transformation Leads in alignment with the Enterprise Agility strategy and various other internal partners.
• Bootstraps new squads federated around strategic goals and initiatives.
• Delivers trainings: Agile essentials, Scum Masters, Product Owners, Kanban, team-based training, TDD, BDD, etc...
• Facilitates workshops: visioning, design thinking, Big Room Planning, etc..
• Coaching: assists the teams with the Agile ceremonies, gives recommendations on the bottlenecks identified in the prioritization/delivery pipeline, mentors and coaches individual squads members, recommends and configures collaboration tools (Mural, iObeya, JIRA, Trello, etc...)
• Implements and co-creates transformation maturity indicators
• Helps to build and grow communities; Chapters, Guilds/Disciplines, Design authorities, Testing, Cloud, etc
• Trains and educates the teams stakeholders and senior leadership: portfolio management & prioritisation, Agile Leadership, Psychological safety, etc...
• Identifies and escalates the transformation impediments to the FM leaders
• Influence the Hives Leads, Chief Product Owners to improve prioritisation and organisational structure
• Scales Agility to improve delivery efficiency, capacity management, collaboration and eventually time to market.
• Participate to the core New Ways of Working forums (Quarterly Performance Review, Monthly Performance Review, Refinement Forums) to understand the strategy while observing to improve collaboration flow and coach participants.
• Nurtures an environment focused on successful product delivery and continuous improvement while building a workplace that people are excited to be a part of, where success is celebrated and gratitude is freely given.
• Promotes an engineering culture of innovation by trying new approaches and techniques in line with the transformation objectives, generates ideas across the Agile teams and hives (community of practitioners, SC Ventures, etc...).
• Works closely with the Product Owners and Chief Product Owners to ensure that the delivery organisation is aligned with the business objectives and scorecard.
• Partners with other teams through a federated model to optimise the value delivered by the Squads/Hives and address structural themes/impediments (DevOps, changes and governance, HR, Procurement, Enterprise Agility, etc..)

Agile knowledge
• Has deep understanding of Agile theory and processes, including the different methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban and Extreme Programming, Behaviour Driven Development and DevOps)
• Excellent knowledge of the SDLC processes and deliverables (traditional and Agile)
• Puts Agile to practice by applying Agile ways of working in different contexts to solve problems and increase efficiency
• Shapes the Product by understanding product development lifecycle – from product vision to MVP and beyond Coaching
• Good understanding and experience with various scaling framework (SaFE, LeSS, DAD, SOS, etc)
• Excellent knowledge of the backlog management techniques: estimations techniques, story slicing and distribution, MoSCOW, etc...
• Experience in coaching and delivering trainings: Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile essentials, Kanban, User Stories management, Agile Leadership and other role-based trainings (Hive Lead, Chapter Lead, etc...)

Financial Market Domain specific knowledge
• Experienced with large scale transformation programmes within the FM or investment banking industry.
• Must understand the generic organisational construct (Front-Office, Middle-Office, Operations and Finance)
• Understanding of the generic FM products (FX, Derivatives, etc...) and end-to-end journey would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices in Banking.

Coaching
• Can effectively facilitate agile ceremonies and other events to achieve intended outcomes (from the Squads to the Hives/Portfolio)
• Able to effectively utilize coaching, teaching, and mentoring toolkit to solicit change
• Strong conflict resolution skills by identifying the team's dysfunctional areas and develops strategies to deal with it
• Ability to guide senior leadership and taking them into confidence to support teams better
• Excellent interpersonal skills; solid verbal and written communication skills
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in Agile or other related disciplines (Lean Software Development, Human Centred Design).
• Minimum of 10-year experience in Information Technology
• Minimum of 2 years leading & managing Software/ IT Projects / Teams using Agile
