Job Description
The AGM Design Operations will oversee the operational, project management, and execution aspects of the interior design function. This role ensures seamless coordination between clients, design teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver projects efficiently and within defined timelines and budgets. The ideal candidate will bring strong operations, project management, and leadership expertise, even if not from a design background, with the ability to translate client and business objectives into smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end operations of multiple interior design projects, from planning to execution.
Act as the bridge between design teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, and vendor/contractor coordination.
Monitor budgets, costs, and cash flows, ensuring financial discipline and value-driven project delivery.
Support design leaders in translating creative concepts into actionable execution plans.
Implement process efficiencies, operational frameworks, and best practices for streamlined project delivery.
Ensure compliance with company guidelines, building codes, contracts, and quality standards.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to project coordinators and operations staff.
Drive continuous improvement in operational effectiveness, vendor management, and client satisfaction.
Stay updated on project management tools, operational strategies, and industry practices to enhance delivery capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Project Management, Civil/Construction Management, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in project/operations management, preferably in interior design, construction, real estate, or related industries.
Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, vendor management, and client coordination.
Strong financial and budgeting skills with experience managing large-scale projects.
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent); familiarity with design tools is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a dynamic, creative environment and collaborate effectively with design professionals.
Knowledge of sustainable operations and smart project delivery practices is advantageous.
