Job Title: AGM/DGM - Legal Contracts

General Description:
This position would be responsible for leading and managing the entire contract lifecycle for the organization's projects. This role involves drafting, negotiating, executing, and managing a wide range of contracts, including EPC, Asset Management, etc.
Detailed Description:
• Contracts Development & Management:
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts related to renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and risk mitigation. Develop and implement contract management processes and systems to ensure efficient contract lifecycle management. Conduct regular contract audits and risk assessments to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Legal & Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to renewable energy contracts.
Ensure that all contracts comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Provide legal and contractual advice to internal stakeholders.
• Risk Management:
Identify and assess contractual risks, developing mitigation strategies. Collaborate with other departments to manage contractual risks effectively. Develop and implement contract termination and dispute resolution procedures.
• Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, project managers, and external contractors. Effectively communicate contract-related matters to all levels of the organization.
• Team Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of contract professionals. Provide mentorship and training to team members.
Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements:
• Masters Degree in Legal Studies
• Bachelors Degree in Legal Studies
• Upto 17 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Leading the Contracts team of an organization in the Renewable energy sector.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy project development and operations.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Immense focus on contract law.
